Identifor was founded by the husband and wife team of Cuong Do and Lori Rickles - a mom and a dad who worry a lot about their son's future. They teamed up with the best and brightest minds in science, education, and technology to develop a better way to identify individual abilities, skills, and interests.

Cuong Do is currently President, Corporate Strategy Group for Samsung and was formerly the Chief Strategy Officer for Merck, Tyco Electronics and Lenovo. He was a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, a leading management consulting firm, where he spent 17 years helping lead the firm's healthcare, high technology and Corporate Finance practices.  Cuong took a year off from corporate life (between his roles at Samsung and Merck) to create Identifor. Identifor started as a concern over 5 years ago when he was helping to develop Autism Speaks' strategic plan - when his team revealed that between 500,000 and 1 million autistic teenagers will become adults in the coming decade, and that 70%+ of these future adults will face unemployment and will continue to rely on parents for housing and transportation. Cuong and Lori then spent years' worth of nights and weekends searching for tools and solutions to help address this upcoming tragedy. When none were found, they decided that something has to be built. Thus Identifor was born.  Cuong holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, U.S. and a Master of Business Administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He serves on Autism Speaks' board of directors and its Executive, Family Services, and Science Committees. He founded Profectum Foundation as a non-profit working to train clinicians and parents on working with autistic children. He currently or previously served on the boards of Celebrate the Children (school for children with special needs in New Jersey), Caring for Cambodia (non-profit working to establish the model schools for Cambodia); the National Youth Science Foundation, the Tuck MBA Advisory Board, and WuXi AppTec (leading pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing company). He was co-founder and Chairman of Callidus Biopharma (a biotech company working in rare diseases that was acquired by Amicus Therapeutics in 2013), Lysodel Therapeutics (a biotech company exploring a novel approach to treat obesity), and M6P Therapeutics (a biotech company developing novels therapies for rare diseases).

Lori Rickles was Professor of International Law at Ewha Women's University in Seoul, Korea and was Chair of an international arbitral tribunal under the auspices of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France. Before then, she served as a senior associate at a Washington, DC based law firm specializing in helping French companies conduct business in the United States. Lori redirected her attention to the special needs world when their son was diagnosed with autism 10 years ago. Since then, she has done all the course work for an advanced degree in communication disorders, chairs a school district's parent advisory council on special needs, and serves on Autism Speaks' Family Services Committee.

Dr. George McCloskey is Professor of Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He holds a BS in psychology from St. Vincent College and MS and PhD degrees in school psychology from Pennsylvania State University. Dr. McCloskey's research include: 1) cognition and cognitive neuropsychology and the relationship of these fields to learning and classroom instruction, and psychological and educational assessment; and 2) the link between assessment and intervention. Of particular interest are: 1) the role of executive functions in learning and production and interventions to increase student self-regulation capacities, 2) reading assessment and instruction, 3) system-wide educational change, 4) memory process and classroom learning, and 5) assessment methodology and the psychometric properties of assessment techniques. Dr. McCloskey is the lead author of the book Assessment and Intervention for Executive Function Difficulties (2009) and is the author of Essentials of Executive Functions Assessment and several book chapters and journal articles on executive functions and on cognitive and educational assessment issues. Dr. McCloskey works with children and adults experiencing various cognitive, learning, and behavior difficulties including ADHD, executive dysfunction, memory problems, reading disability, written expression disability, math disability, head trauma, mental retardation, autism, Asperger's and pervasive developmental delay.
In addition to his clinical and teaching work, Dr. McCloskey has accumulated over 20 years of experience in research and test development activities. Through the American Guidance Service (AGS) and The Psychological Corporation, Dr. McCloskey was involved in the development of many well-known psychological and educational assessment instruments used by clinicians, including the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement (KTEA), the Kaufman Adolescent and Adult Intelligence Test (KAIT), Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition (WISC-IV), and many others. Dr. McCloskey created the McCloskey Executive Function Scale (MEFS) to measure an individual's progress in developing executive function skills. The MEFS will be available through the Identifor site for parents (and other professionals invited by parents) to complete to provide a 360o view of a child.

Monica Osgood is Co-Founder and Executive Director of Celebrate the Children school and Executive Director of the Developmental Center for Children and Families. In 1998, Monica created the first public school program based on the Developmental Individual Relationship-Based (DIR®) approach. In 2004, she collaborated with Lauren Blaszak to open a state-approved school for children ages 3-21 in northern New Jersey also based on the DIR® framework. She was a member of the ICDL advisory board and joined the ICDL institute faculty in 2001. Currently, Monica is the Executive Director of the Profectum Foundation, a non-profit organization that aspires to define the Foundational Capacities of Development as a framework for integrating different intervention approaches and to train hundreds of thousands of parents and practitioners around the world. Additional accomplishments include many speaking engagements at conferences and participation in television, radio, and newspaper interviews across the USA, Wales, Ireland, and the Netherlands. Monica and the Celebrate the Children school were featured in a TIME Magazine cover story in May of 2006. Most recently, she collaborated with Grammy® Nominated children's artists Dan Myers and Brady Rymer on an album and music video celebrating diversity in children with all abilities.

Autism Speaks' Chief Program and Marketing Officer

Ms. Goring has been providing direction and management of the family services department since its inception in 2006. Under her leadership, Autism Speaks has offered resources and support to hundreds of thousands of individuals and families affected by autism nationwide. These vital materials include a Resource Guide of more than 80,000 local service providers, a specially-trained Autism Response Team to answer phone calls and emails; and a variety of tool kits, including the 100 Day Kit for Newly Diagnosed Families; and more than twenty other tool kits covering challenges at every stage of life. In addition, Ms. Goring has implemented many grant programs to expand services and supports for people with autism of all ages. Ms. Goring was one of the founding members of Advancing Futures for Adults with Autism (AFAA), and currently serves as treasurer of AFAA.

In 2016 Goring added marketing and communications to her responsibilities at Autism Speaks, with the goal of increasing understanding and acceptance of autism. She will lead the marketing and communications teams to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that will support the organization?s mission, as well as revenue generators at Autism Speaks, to better meet the needs of people with autism and those who support them.

Prior to Autism Speaks, Ms. Goring spent 19 years at Saks Fifth Avenue, where she was a vice president of merchandising, responsible for sales volume and profitability across stores, direct mail and digital channels. She is a past president of her local School Community Association and worked as a teaching assistant for students with autism. Ms. Goring holds a B.S in business administration with a concentration in marketing from Boston University. She and her husband have two children, one of whom has autism.
